Weekly Rundown from Bro-ham is Back!
The ‘Weekly Rundown’ is back bitches! Oh how I missed my beloved rundown where I get to use my expert critiquing skills in order to please the masses. A lot happened over the past week in the sports world over a variety of sports. Hopefully all you bee-zee’s already know this but if not, well that’s what I’m here for. Let’s get deep with this shit…let’s get next level with this, fuckin on some Blake Griffin through the roof shit. Ok here we go…
Wimbledon has wrapped up and I was wrong! I know I’m as shocked as you are…I thought for sure Novak Djokovic would walk away with victory, but the old man Mr. Federer proved he still has a few tricks up his sleeve. It was Federer’s 7th at the All England Club tying him with Pete Sampras. Well done sir, well done. On the women’s side it was Serena Williams (who could probably beat Federer…in tennis and fist-to-fist) that strolled to victory lane. She only lost 3 sets all tournament and had more aces than the top 3 combined. It’s not even fair out there sometimes when her grunts get going and she sounds like a bear in the wild with the power to match. I see a few more titles in her future before she decides to hang it up. Her sister Venus though…not so much…
What a weekend for the UFC. Are you chicks down with UFC? Get on this train! The most anticipated rematch in UFC history went down Saturday night as Chael Sonnen squared off against reigning kingpin Anderson Silva. Silva looked like he could be in some trouble as he got shellacked in the first round with Sonnen’s trade mark ground and pound. Things all changed in the blink of an eye in the second though with one ill-advised and errant spinning back fist. Sonnen missed badly and fell to the ground. Silva stalked his prey like a lion eyeing up a gazelle and then placed a perfect knee to the solar plexus of Sonnen. Man was that shit nasty! A few follow up punches and that’s all she wrote. Pretty impressive how Silva always finds a way. Hopefully some of you beautiful babes through some money on Anderson for a nice little pay day.
Finally, in basketball, the Olympic team is set. All of the stars are there including LeBron, Kobe, Blake Griffin, Kevin Durant, etc. It’s not even fair the amount of talent stacked on that team. If they don’t absolutely roll over the competition it will be a major disappointment. Did any of you see Griffin’s dunk in practice. Good God that dude can soar! I hope he makes a few foreigners his poster child in the 2012 games with high flying gems that I can drewl over. It should be entertaining to watch to say the least.
Peace
